Nostalgia

So, Hello Neighbor is out, and I could finally know the plot and meaning of everything of that...
And... it wasn't what I expected. Even after the game came out with an actual ending... I understood nothing. There are still many questions unanswered... I expected much more, I'll be honest here.
I still don't understand who are the characters, their backstories and relationship, what's actually in the basement... The ending was just plain and felt unfinished, and didn't explained much. Some say "there's a deep meaning behind it", but I don't get it. Maybe it's just me, but I really don't get it. I guess I expected it to be more exact than more "abstract".

I actually planned to draw a picture to the release, but I couldn't do that due to being busy. And idea was completely different. It changed after I watched a walkthrough with an ending. So I guess it was okay that I didn't drew a picture earlier and came up with a new idea instead, and related to my feelings.

The picture itself don't have much connection to the canon of the game, but rather my feelings.
The protagonist (which name of is still unknown, and the neighbor's too) looks at the framed picture (which is a reference to the framed picture in protagonist's house in some version) nostalgicaly and sadly, thinking that he and his neighbor didn't truly knew each other... They didn't knew their lifes, why it all came up to this... This is a reference to my confusion of the plot.
The name of the picture is a reference to the ending soundtrack's name and protagonist's memories and nostalgia in general... and partly my nostalgia to older versions of the game.

Also, I wanted to draw this in more "toony" style and added some effects to make it look like an old cartoon (that's why the quallity is "bad"), and some patterns on clothes were simplified or removed due to that (and I'm lazy). Just because.
Also, I know, backgrounds are lazy and look weird with characters, and anatomy (and character heights :/) isn't the best too, but I'm lazy in general and just wanted to finish it, so... :/
